The Outreach Project LLC ("The Outreach Project," "TOP," "we," "us," or "our") provides a resource network, media platform, nonprofit directory, and community features for veterans, first responders, their families, and supporters.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you access or use our website, mobile applications, podcast platforms, community features, nonprofit directory, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Our iOS and Android applications currently provide access to the same secure web-based platform through an in-app browser. Data practices are substantially similar across web and mobile access.

When you create an account, sign in, or complete onboarding, we may collect:

  • Authentication data provided through WorkOS or other identity providers

User Content & Activity

We may collect information you voluntarily create or submit, including:

  • Messages submitted through contact forms

Payment Information

Memberships, sponsorships, donations, and other payments are processed through Stripe or other third-party payment processors.

We do not store complete payment card numbers on our servers. We may retain transaction identifiers, billing status, customer references, and subscription information necessary to provide Services.

Technical Information

We automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device information
  • Operating system
  • Referral URLs
  • Usage logs
  • Security logs

Device Permissions

If you choose to upload photos or media, we may request access to your device camera, microphone, or photo library at the time of use.

We do not use precise location tracking or advertising identifiers for cross-app behavioral advertising.

Nonprofit Directory Information

The Outreach Project maintains a directory of nonprofit organizations and related resources.

Directory information may be obtained from publicly available records, including IRS data, information submitted by organizations, publicly available websites, and other third-party sources.

While we strive to maintain accurate information, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability, current status, tax classification, licensing, eligibility, effectiveness, or operational status of any organization listed within the directory.

Inclusion within the directory does not constitute endorsement, certification, accreditation, recommendation, or verification by The Outreach Project.

Users are solely responsible for independently evaluating any organization, service provider, resource, or opportunity before engaging with them.

Sharing of Information

We may share information with service providers that assist in operating our Services, including:

  • Supabase (data storage)
  • WorkOS (authentication)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Vercel (hosting and infrastructure)
  • Analytics and security providers

We do not sell personal information.

We may disclose information:

  • To comply with applicable laws or legal process
  • To protect users, the public, or our platform
  • To investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents

Membership billing may be managed through the Stripe Customer Portal where available.
